In 2014, ear wrote the music for Endstation Sehnsucht (A Streetcar Named Desire) at Theater Magdeburg and played it live at every performance. Six of the songs on this album come from that production. To keep the feeling of a live show, we recorded the whole album in one day at Golden Retriever Studios in Berlin.

Yeah! ear have released a new album. Elysian Fields is completely different from its predecessors, and yet it is pure ear. Different, because more than half of the songs were written for a theater production. Pure ear, because Günther Harder and Raphael Tschernuth stay true to themselves: straight songs, haunting, pure arrangements.
